iPhone

Let’s start with the big stuff. Apple has stuck with tradition, implementing tweaks and upgrades to their beloved design and really getting the best out of a true mobile classic. The all new A15 Bionic Chip is a really powerhouse, providing faster speeds than any other phone on the market, according to Apple. The chip is powered by six cores, including four high-efficiency cores and two high-power cores to help get the most out of this all new chip.

There are four new models to choose from, including the base iPhone 13. There’s also the iPhone 13 Mini, Max and Pro Max, in line with Apple’s previous generations. The biggest difference here is screen size, naturally, but the Pro Max also has a whopping new cameras are capable of crystal clear video that could revolutionise the film industry. It was thrilling to see what award winning director Catherine Bigelow could do with the smart cameras that are capable of intuitively adding depth to film that takes years to master on a bigger camera.

The iPhone 13

That’s not to say there isn’t plenty to love about the iPhone 13 or 13 Mini. These smaller, more compact devices come with much improved battery life, are made from recycled materials likes plastic water bottles, and have a screen capable of 28% more brightness. They also comes in five colours, pink, blue, midnight, starlight, and Product Red, giving you the iPhone that is unique to you.

The iPhone 13 also has a bigger battery that provides 2.5 hours longer battery life than iPhone 12, while the mini can give you 1.5 hours more juice than the previous model. These phones are capable of 15.8 trillion calculations a second and comes with the all new cinematic mode, which intuitively adapts the depth of what you’re shooting.

Pro and Pro Max

The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, however, really stole the show. While the iPhone 13 is an impressive upgrade, the Pro Max has 50% faster graphics than any other smartphone, according to Apple. Its ProMotion display automatically adjust refresh rate depending on what you’re looking at. Giving more frames per second than most gaming consoles. This is really something and will severely reduce on screen lag, giving you a fluid, frustration free experience.

The Pro and Pro Max come with three cameras, as opposed to the basic models which only have two. The added benefit here is the telescope lens, capable of getting within 2cm of the subject. You can also adjust the focus of you’re cinematic films after you’ve shot them, giving users previously unattainable freedom while editing. For the creative, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are a definite improvement on anything we’ve seen before.

All four of these devices come with ultra-fast 5G and work with over 300 suppliers to provide the best 5G coverage across the globe.

The Apple Watch Series 7

But it wasn’t just about iPhone. We were also treated to a first look at the new Apple Watch Series 7. It comes with a bigger screen capable of showing 50% more text than ever before. The display is 20% bigger than the Series 6 and 50% bigger than the Series 3. It’s got a tonne of new functionalities to keep you in shape and is the perfect companion for anyone looking to get fit.

Speaking of fitness, Fitness+ has dramatically improved. Along with shared classes, 6 new subtitle languages and a library of over 1,200 work outs; you can add mindfulness to the pile too. It really gives you a sense of calm and relief that we all need after the last few years and will help people feel that little bit more in control.

iPad and the iPad Mini

The all new iPad also got wheeled out to wow audiences. It comes with a new camera, 5G, flash for pictures, Smart HDR and can film in 4k. It also support Apple’s ‘center stage’, which has been a huge hit on iPad Pro and adds more depth to the front-facing camera shots and video than ever before.

The iPad Mini comes with the same USB-C connection for faster charging and can connect with the Apple Pencil (2nd Gen). This transforms this roughly 8 inch sized screen into a digital sketchbook. It also comes with ultrafast 5G, pretty neat if you’re on the go.
